D.O.L.L.A.R.S. is a group of individual Real Estate Investors who meet once a month. Our meetings are meant to serve two purposes. One is to get information from our guest speaker, and the other, which is just as important, is to have the opportunity to get to know and talk to each other.

It is for this second reason that we deliberately keep the size of our group small compared to some of the other investor groups that desire a large number of members. You see, everyone in our group is actively involved in some aspect of real estate investing. We do not accept members who are thinking about getting their feet wet or who may have bought one investment house two months ago. On the other hand, you do not have to be a Max Fisher, and Al Taubman, or a Donald Trump either.

Our membership is comprised of two types. The vast majority is made up of people who are actually active investors and own rental property. The criteria for this category of membership is to presently own ten units or rental property or notes receivable collateralized by real estate. The other category is a professional membership which consists of members who are not investors. They may be mortgage brokers, CCIM's, property managers, builders, etc. The investor category is limited to 75 individuals or couples and the professional category is limited to 25.

At each meeting we have hors d'oeuvre buffet and a cash bar. The annual dues are $75.00 per individual or $115.00 per married couple plus $22.00 for the Michigan Rental Housing Association.
